ClickHelp User Manual

Cropped Images

When you use the Crop Image function in MS Word, the tool does not actually delete the cropped areas. Instead, it just hides those areas, but still stores the complete images in the document.

When importing MS Word documents into ClickHelp, the cropping settings are not handled and you will get your full images in the imported topics. To avoid this effect, some small preparation is needed before you import your document. Follow these steps:

  • In the Microsoft Word 2010 document, select any image.
  • On the ribbon bar, find Picture Tools  Adjust  Compress Pictures.
  • Choose the Delete cropped areas of pictures option there.

Now save the changes - the cropped areas of all images will be deleted. After this, you can import your content into ClickHelp without issues.
