What is Help Desk?

A help desk is a resource that provides users and customers with information on products and services. Usually, the main goal of a help desk is to help a user solve their issues or give a demo of products such as computers, electronic equipment, or software. For giving information companies use such channels as websites, emails, toll-free numbers, or instant messaging.

A help desk may be structured into different levels, for example, the first level can be FAQ, the second one may include resources to handle more complex issues, and so on.
