What is Information Architecture?

Information architecture is the structural design of environments where people share information. The principles of information architecture are used in building websites, apps, and software, they are also used in planning of physical places to support usability and findability. It’s considered that Richard Saul Wurman was a founder of information architecture. About the term information architect Richard Saul Wurman wrote: “I mean architect as used in the words architect of foreign policy. I mean architect as in the creation of systemic, structural, and orderly principles to make something work — the thoughtful making of either artifact, or idea, or policy that informs because it is clear.”
