What is SDK Documentation?

SDK stands for a software development kit. An SDK is a set of software development tools used for developing applications for a specific device or operating system. The Windows 7 SDK, the Mac OS X SDK, and the iPhone SDK are the most popular examples of SDK. As companies want to encourage developers to create applications for their platform, SDKs are usually provided free of charge and write extensive documentation that can include FAQ and tutorials.
