A 30-minute tour of ClickHelp

Every Thursday we open ClickHelp and walk through the parts people ask about most — import, authoring, reuse, publishing, AI — and answer whatever comes up in the chat. Nothing to install, nothing to prepare, no account needed. Come see how it works, then decide what you want to do next.

September 24, 2026
12:00 EST / 18:00 CET

What you’ll see

Here’s what we go through:

  • Import from Word and other tools — Bring in a Word document and split it into separate topics by heading level. Same for RoboHelp, MadCap Flare and Confluence content.
  • The authoring environment — Write in a WYSIWYG editor with your own styles, embed media, drop in custom HTML, and link topics together.
  • Content reuse with snippets — Write a paragraph once and pull it into as many topics as you need. Change the source, and every place that uses it changes with it.
  • Variables and conditional content — Keep one project and publish different versions of it: online and print, free tier and enterprise, internal and public.
  • Publishing and access control — Publish to an online portal, PDF, DOCX or HTML, with Markdown export on top. Make a portal public, password-protected, or restricted per reader with SSO.
  • AnswerGenius, part of ClickHelp AI Suite — An AI assistant that answers readers’ questions from your docs and links back to the source topic. It respects reader permissions and can be embedded in your own app.

Who should attend

Different people come for different parts of it. It’s usually useful if you’re:

  • A technical writer — evaluating a new authoring tool, or tired of copy-pasting the same paragraph into fifteen topics.
  • A documentation lead — looking at how to run several products, versions or brands out of one place.
  • In support or customer success — wondering whether better docs and in-portal search would take some load off the queue.
  • A developer or tech lead — checking the practical things: SSO, access control, custom HTML, export formats, what happens to your content if you leave.

How it works

  • Joining — Click the link, and that’s it. Nothing to install, no account to create, and you can leave whenever you’ve seen enough.
  • Asking — Drop a question in the chat at any point and we’ll answer it live, anonymously if you prefer. Or just listen.
  • If you miss one — We don’t record the sessions, but they run every week, so there’s always a next one. If Thursdays never work for you, book a private session at a time that does.
